The JEOL1400 TEM is a transmission electron microscope within the General Instrumentation Department. It is relatively user-friendly.

How to get access to this microscope
Before using the TEM you have to:
- Complete the introduction training by Hetty
- The training takes about 3 hours and is very hands-on.
- Contact Hetty to plan the training
- Book the TEM on the bookings website
- You can only book the TEM after completing the training.
